He has been working at EDP Renewables since 2019. He started as General Director of EDPR in Italy. His responsibilities included the management and the representation of the Italian branch as well as the growth of the business in Italy. Currently, he leads the growth of the Italian, Greek, Romanian and Hungarian branches.

With more than 20 years of experience in the energy sector, Roberto has an extensive background in investment appraisal on renewable projects and companies and also in Business Development, M&A and Project Financing.

From the beginning of 2016, he worked as Head of Global Business Development and Country Manager EMENA at a new brand leading global developer of renewable energies.

From 2009 until 2011 he worked as Country Manager Italy at a leading developer for solar energy, starting up the business in Italy.

Previously he worked as COO at a green energy company; as Country Manager at the Italian leading operator in engineering, installation and maintenance services for the renewable energies, electricity and petrochemical sectors, and as Project Manager at the Italian largest power company and Europe’s first listed utility by installed capacity.
