Flavio Cattaneo
A graduate in Architecture from the Milan Polytechnic, he specialized in a course in finance applied to the real estate sector at the SDA Bocconi School of Management.
Between 1998 and 2001, he was deputy chairman of AEM Milano (now A2A); between 1999 and 2003, he was chairman and chief executive officer of Fiera Milano, whose listing process on the Italian stock exchange he led, among other things.
From 2003 to 2005, he was general manager of RAI-Radiotelevisione Italiana and then moved to Terna, where from 2005 to 2014, he was chief executive officer in the sphere, also serving from 2007 to 2011 as chairman of the board of Terna Participações, the Brazilian electricity grid operator, whose listing process he led, among other things, at the São Paulo Stock Exchange in Brazil. Between 2016 and 2017, he was CEO of Telecom Italia and then CEO of NTV-Italo between 2017 and 2018, a position he also held between 2014 and 2016. He holds the position of non-executive vice chairman of NTV-Italo and board member of Assicurazioni Generali.
Since May 12, 2023, he has been Enel’s Chief Executive Officer and General Manager; and since June 20, 2023, Vice Chairman of Endesa S.A. In 2011 he received the honor of Cavaliere del Lavoro.
