Privacy Policy – Registration to the event ComoLake2023 and to ComoLake Awards 2023

Privacy Policy pursuant to Art. 13, Regulation (EU) 2016/679 of the European Parliament and of the Council

NOW Italia wishes to inform you that, to proceed with your request to register for one or more sessions of our event “ComoLake2023 – Next Generation Innovations” or to submit the candidacy for ComoLake Awards 2023, the Company needs to process the personal or the company/institution data you provided by completing the registration form (hereinafter referred to as the “Form”) present on the website www.comolake2023.com (hereinafter referred to as the “Website”).

1. DATA CONTROLLER
The Data Controller is the company NOW Italia S.r.l., in the name of its legal representative, with address for service in Ancona, Via Santo Stefano 27, Italy (hereinafter referred to as the “Data Controller”).

2. PURPOSES AND LEGAL BASIS FOR PROCESSING OF PERSONAL DATA

  • A – Allow your registration both online and in presence at the ComoLake2023 event.
    This purpose includes the possibility of having you register and participate in our ComoLake2023 event. The provision of your personal data is mandatory. Failure to authorize their treatment could make it impossible for you to participate in the event. This is because communication is a necessary requirement for access to the Comolake2023 event.
  • B. To enable registration for the ComoLake Awards 2023.
    This legal basis includes the possibility to register for the ComoLake Awards 2023. The provision of your personal data is mandatory. Failure to authorise their processing may result in your registration not being possible. This is because your authorisation to the use of the requested data is a necessary requirement to register for the ComoLake Awards 2023.

The legal basis for this processing is your explicit consent to the processing. Your personal data may be processed both by computer and on paper.

3. PERSONAL DATA STORAGE PERIOD
To allow your participation in the event, NOW Italia will need to retain the requested data for 12 months. This is without prejudice to the case in which it is necessary to retain such data in order to comply with regulatory obligations, or to ascertain, exercise or defend a right in court.

4. CATEGORIES OF RECIPIENTS OF THE PERSONAL DATA
The data processed shall not be disclosed to third parties. However, for the fulfilment of the above-mentioned purposes, your personal data may be disclosed to:

  • those who can access data in accordance with legal obligations under Union or a Member State Law to which the Data Controller is subject;
  • those who perform, in complete autonomy, within the borders of the European Union, activities related to the activities and services mentioned in paragraph 2, as separate Data Controllers, as well as Data Controllers appointed to this end by NOW Italia, or also insurance companies, law firms, companies providing computer assistance and consultancy as well as design and implementation of software and/or websites, postal services, companies offering communication services, service centres, companies or consultants responsible for providing services to the Data Controller, within the limits of the purposes for which they were collected;
  • In addition, your personal data may be also disclosed to our employees, provided that they have been previously designated as persons acting under the authority of the Data Controller, according to Art. 29 of the EU Regulation or as System Administrator. Any disclosure of your personal data will be done in full compliance with the legal provisions of the EU Regulation and the technical and organisational measures adopted by NOW Italia to ensure an appropriate level of security.

5. TRANSFER OF PERSONAL DATA TO THIRD COUNTRIES
The Data Controller does not intend to transfer processed data to third countries. The entire processing of personal data, in fact, takes place within the borders of Italy, or, in some limited cases, within those of the Union.

6. AUTOMATED DECISION-MAKING PROCESSES
The Data Controller does not intend to use any automated decision-making processes, including profiling, as per Article 22, paragraphs 1 and 4, of the EU Regulation. Therefore, the Data Controller deems it not necessary to provide information regarding the logic involved, nor on the relevance and consequences of this type of processing for the data subject.

7. RIGHT OF THE DATA SUBJECT
With regard to the processing of the requested data, as data subject, you have the right to withdraw your consent at any time and to obtain access to the data from the Company. Furthermore, you can request the Company to rectify or delete your personal data. You also have the right to obtain the restriction of the processing of your personal data, as well as the right to personal data portability.

In addition to the above, you have the right to object at any time, on grounds relating to particular situations, to the processing of data carried out pursuant to Article 6, paragraph 1, letters e) or f), including profiling under such provisions, as provided for by Article 21 of the GDPR.

Finally, you have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority or before the competent courts, if you consider that the processing of your data infringes the GDPR.
